  • Sigil: A squirrel facing right, holding a hazel nut
  • Leader: Panido Wyrd the Sighted
  • Capital: Green Weald
  • Rough age: Ancient house
  • Strengths: Connection with nature (magic)
  • Weakness: Weak militia, bad reputation
  • Exports: Lumber, pelts
  • Other: Known as "wood crazy" and not very well understood by other houses. Experts at navigating the forest and all invasion attempts by any house in the past have failed when the Wyrd leave their main fortifications and start a cruel guerrilla war. No attempts tried in the past 150 years. One of the oldest houses in the Realms, though the family outlook has changed many times over time. Rumours of extensive inbreeding and that they practice bestiality.

Information

Wyrd culture is slightly different than most other houses. The Kingdom is made up of a number of lineages with the Wyrd family leading them all. Originally from further north and including some barbarian influences, many houses and indeed people of the Wyrd Kingdom have a strong affinity to nature. Almost all members of society want "balance", but what this means does vary from person to person.

Citizen and villeins alike were members of the Church of Rahn, but also generally worship several other gods such as Ard, the Ven god that is the aspect of Balance among other things and local Knytt gods, spirits and creatures. Most houses had at least one knytt creature or spirit they had a close bond with and sometimes several. It wasn't unheard of that each family member had a Knytt companion each.

As a cultural reference, "Knytt" can vaguely be translated to "Fey".
